Golfer's Elbow (Medial Epicondylalgia)

Pain on the inner elbow from overuse of the forearm muscles, common in golf and racquet sports, and very treatable with the right program.

An overuse injury on the inner elbow.

Golfer's elbow is often seen in people who play racquet sports or golf. It frequently overlaps with tennis elbow and can result from general forearm overuse, repeated 'fat' golf shots, or poor swing technique.

Common symptoms include pain on the inner side of the elbow that's reproduced with resisted wrist flexion. Most cases improve with activity modification, anti-inflammatory care, ice, and a progressive stretching and strengthening program. Surgery is reserved for cases that don't respond to conservative care.
