Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making this website usable for everyone, including people using assistive technology.

Our Commitment

Empower Physical Therapy & Aquatics Institute is committed to making this website usable by everyone, regardless of ability. We are actively working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Section 504 rule and commonly used as the benchmark in ADA Title III web accessibility cases.

Measures We've Taken

This site was built and reviewed with accessibility in mind. Measures include:

  • A skip-to-content link at the start of every page for keyboard users.
  • Semantic HTML landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer) on every page.
  • Descriptive alternative text on images, including staff photos and credential badges.
  • Visible, labeled form fields with proper keyboard operability on every booking and contact form.
  • Sufficient color contrast for text and interactive elements, including a review of our brand colors against WCAG AA thresholds.
  • A visible keyboard focus indicator on every interactive element.
  • Site navigation and content that remain fully usable even if JavaScript fails to load.
  • Respect for the "reduce motion" setting on devices where a visitor has turned it on.

This is an ongoing effort. We periodically review the site as it changes and welcome feedback at any time (see below).

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some parts of this site rely on third-party tools we don't fully control:

  • Google Reviews widget (homepage): this embedded widget is provided by a third party (Elfsight). We've styled it for readability against our site's colors, but its internal keyboard behavior is controlled by that provider, not by us.
  • Downloadable PDF forms (Patient Forms page): our new-patient, Medicare, and telehealth consent forms are provided as PDF documents. If you have any trouble reading or filling one out with assistive technology, please call or email us (below) and we'll get you the information a different way.

If you encounter any other barrier, please let us know using the contact information below — we want to fix it.

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this website. If you encounter an accessibility barrier or have a suggestion, please contact us:
