Femoral Neck Fracture

A fracture of the thigh bone near the hip joint, most often from a fall or direct blow, that requires careful, guided rehabilitation.

A serious fracture that needs careful, guided healing.

A femoral neck fracture is a break in the thigh bone at the femoral neck, the narrow segment just below the ball of the hip joint. It's most often caused by trauma from a fall or a direct blow to the hip.

If the fractured bone doesn't heal properly, the hip joint can gradually wear down. Because blood flow to the femoral head can be cut off or restricted by the fracture, there's also a risk of avascular necrosis, bone death from lost blood supply.

Depending on the fracture pattern, treatment ranges from surgical fixation to hip replacement, always followed by a structured Physical Therapy program to restore weight-bearing, strength, and safe mobility.
